Two Things Can Be The Same At Once
Let's Talk
Hey guys. Happy Saturday. So today I'm going I'm going to talk about something that I've been learning this past year. I might get off topic, but just bear with me, okay? The way you're reading this is how I'd write it in a journal loll. So one of the biggest lessons I've been learning this year is that two things can be the same at once. I feel like I get so caught up in things being one way, and I let that ruin me almost. I let one negative thought or negative encounter dictate the way I handle or respond to a situation. I try to be as open-minded as possible, especially when helping other people. I want to encourage other people to look at all perspectives. (Until it comes down to morals, ethics, and human rights, I feel like we should all be on the same page about that stuff, but that's a different topic for a different time.), but when it comes to my own problems and situations, I see what's at face value instead of other perspectives or possibilities. Long story short, practice what you preach, so when I think about two things being okay or true at once, it's kind of comforting. I can feel the way I feel about the situation and still want something different. It's okay. You can love someone and still want nothing to do with that person, and that's okay. For me when I think about it, it almost calms me down. It validates all my feelings whereas before, I'm most likely upset because it's not one way or the other when it can just be both. And ocourse, it doesn't necessarily need to be two things at once, it can be multiple things. It's just easier for me to use two, to articulate what I'm trying to say. I hope this makes a little sense for some of you. If you feel like it, I'd love to read some of the things you've been learning this year. Or even talk about how my take fits into your own lives. You could even disagree with me and tell me your thoughts. I just want a positive open discussion in the comments. Thanks for reading today. See you next week 😊
